Spoke Wines - The 'New' New Zealand Wine Tasting - May 18th

Every year, we invite Bristol-based Master of Wine Liam Steevenson back to host a tasting of the fruits of one of his winemaking projects around the world.

Liam has recently released a range of wines made sustainably in collaboration with New Zealand winemaker, Ben Glover.

These wines are a fresh take on two of the country's major regions - Marlborough and Central Otago - and represent more traditionally planted grape varieties (Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir) alongside some unexpected twists (Semillon and Chardonnay).

All five of the wines are garnering a lot of positive press attention, and we think they are a delicious and refreshing take on the possibilities of winemaking in New Zealand!

Guests will arrive from 6.30pm for welcome drinks. The tasting will start at 7pm - Liam will lead us through the new wines and share anecdotes from his time collaborating and making wine with Ben Glover in New Zealand. The evening will conclude at roughly 8.30pm.

Bread and butter will be provided to accompany the wines, however if you would like to stay for dinner after the tasting, please let us know and we will gladly reserve a table for you.
