The name Querciabella means “beautiful oak”. It is their commitment to creating extraordinary wines, without causing harm or disrupting the delicate balance of nature, will not waiver. It is this commitment that makes their wines as lively and beautiful as the land they are grown on. The wines have been called “Burgundian in spirit” and we don’t disagree. But the real secret is in the soil… the very same from which grow the mightiest of oaks.

Mongrana 2005 was the first vintage to be released, initially exclusively on international markets. The wine takes its name – and its character – from that of the noble family of knights depicted by the Italian Renaissance poet Ludovico Ariosto in his masterpiece Orlando Furioso. Mongrana is vibrant and intense, a charming wine to drink on its own, or pair easily with a variety of flavours. Sangiovese / Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot.
Turpino is a voluptuous blend of Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot grown by Querciabella in Maremma. Surrounded by a vigorous nature, the vineyards in Alberese benefit from the maritime climate that guarantees a good phenolic maturation of the grapes while retaining balanced levels of natural fruit acidity. Turpino's evocative character is a tribute to three noble varieties that thrive in Maremma fitting perfectly together like the tessera of a fine mosaic. Cabernet Franc / Syrah / Merlot
