Suns out, BBQ's in play and friends are on their way. You just need the BBS mixed BBQ case and your set. Six bottles that are perfect for warm weather, grilled food and enjoying with company.
Cara Sucia, Cereza
Mendoza, Cereza, 12.7% ABV
Without doubt the most exciting summer red we’ve stumbled across in years. Cereza, meaning “cherry”, is actually a white grape variety with a pink skin, much like Pinot Gris or Gewürztraminer. It rarely makes it to these shores. Aged in concrete eggs so there’s no oak to mask the vibrant fruit, and bottled without filtering or fining making it vegan-friendly. Bright and juicy with super low tannins, chill it lightly and enjoy in the summer sunshine.
Daumas Gassac Rose Frizant
Languedoc, 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Mourvèdre, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon, Petit Manseng and Muscat. 11% ABV
Summer frivolity in a glass from a serious producer. A wine so unpretentiously lovely and delight-delivering that we feel sure that you will be happy the moment you taste it. Fresh & dry but with a distinct hint of strawberries and cream - what could be more summery. Tennis anyone?
Majella, Sparkling Shiraz
Coonawarra, Shiraz / 14% ABV
Bottle fermented like a Champagne and then a little vintage port is added to give a well balanced sweet/savoury sparkling wine – ideal with BBQ food! The colour is a vibrant deep red with a ruby hue. A creamy raspberry bouquet, the palate is luscious giving delicious sweet berry flavours with hints of plum, nutmeg and gentle tannins.
Dom. Mont d'Hortes Cuveé des 4 Saisons Rosé
Languedoc, Grenache Noir / ABV 13%
Fantastic value for a pale, fresh and dry rose in the Provence style. Fragrant with fresh juicy red berry fruit and a touch of dried herbs - the ideal aperitif rose.
Dom. Andre Colonge Beaujolais Villages
Beaujolais, 100% Gamay / ABV 13%
Top quality gamay grapes from one of the highest profile Cru Villages, showing vibrant cherry fruit and refreshing acidity. Serve lightly chilled.
Azevedo Vinho Verde
Escolha, Loureiro/Alvarinho / ABV 11.5%
Floral and citrine freshness of the Loureiro grape are complimented with the texture and creaminess of the Alvarinho. This lightly effervescent white is surely the very embodiment of summer drinking.
