A mixed case of 3 reds & 3 whites selected because we love them.
Gran Cerdo Tempranillo Gonzalo Grijalba
Gran Cerdo is all about great natural wine with whole bunch fermentation, light filtration, no stabilisation and minimal sulphur. Viticulture is organic (although not certified). The juicy elements of Tempranillo shine through with no oak to mask the charm of this little natural wine giving phenomenal value.
Quinta dos Roques Dao Colheita
The classic red from this prestigious Dao estate. Touriga makes up about half the blend, with other varietals also from block-planted vineyards at the property. Aged in French oak for 10 months. The Touriga component contributes the mulberry fruit character which characterises Roques Tinto, but as with classic Dao blends, this is more than a sum of its parts.
Domaine Burle, Est-Ce-Que?
A juicy, easy-going blend from excellent Gigondas producers Florent and Damian Burle, quite full-bodied with ripe, dark, plummy fruit, liquorice notes and some soft sweet spice. Great fun and all too easy to drink.
Pfaffl Wein 1
A glorious blend of Riesling, Gruner Veltliner & Pinot Blanc making a wine that works wonderfully well with a range of foods in particular spicy dishes as well as a fantastic aperitif. Fruity, aromatic & spicy.
Folli & Benato Gavi di Gavi
100% Cortese grape with an Intense straw yellow colour. Rich aromas of white peach, pear and jasmine, carry through to the elegant, fresh and perfectly balanced palate. Perfect as an aperitif or with light dishes, white meat, fish and soft cheese.
Wild & Wilder Cloud Cuckoo Land, Fiano, Greco, Zibibbo
Made with a blend of Mediterranean grape varietes in Riverland, South Australia (obviously!). This vibrant, textural white with hints of almond blossom, quince and ripe pear is tangy, almos t exotic yet pithy and delicious.
