We are unbelievably excited to announce our first wine dinner of the year, which will be centred around the wines of Lyrarakis, the foremost winery of Crete.
Founded in 1966, Lyrarakis is known for viticultural innovation and has been credited with rescuing many of the island's native grape varieties from extinction.
The dinner will be an opportunity to taste the fruits of Lyrarakis' labour first-hand and to meet Effie Kallinikidou, who will be presenting the wines and giving a guide to Crete's unique geography, grape varieties and winemaking styles.
These incredibly culinary wines will be paired with a menu devised by our Head Chef James and the Beckford Bottle Shop kitchen team, which promises to be creative and delicious.
We will welcome guests at 7pm with a drink, followed by a five-course tasting dinner, paired to match with Lyrarakis wines.
