Join us in the Vaults for an evening of seasonal food and lovely wine as Beckford Bottle Shop and Bath Community Kitchen come together for a special supper club raising funds for BCK's community meals in Twerton and Radstock.
BCK welcomes guests to its community meals twice a week, serving a three-course menu made using surplus ingredients donated by local grocers, bakers and restaurants. These meals address food poverty and social isolation in areas of high deprivation in B&NES. BCK also runs cookery workshops in these areas to help provide people with skills to cook well for themselves, as well as running events catering that generates paid work opportunities for people experiencing long term unemployment.
The idea began when Rob was working as a chef at Jamie’s Farm, where he saw first-hand the difference that cooking and sharing a meal can make to people’s health and wellbeing.
Inspired by BCK’s approach to food and community, we’re delighted to host our first vegetarian supper club at BBS. Rob will join Chef Ollie in the kitchen to cook a seasonal five-course menu, with canapés and sharing plates and petit fours, with four wines perfectly picked by James from the Bottle Shop.
