Sylvain makes beautiful Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the village of Marsannay, but favours most of all the Aligoté grape, which used to be very widely planted in Burgundy and is enjoying something of a resurgence.

Auvonnes Au Pépé is a tiny, 0.10ha plot, planted by Sylvain’s Grandfather. Fresh, lean and elegant all at once. Bursting with acidity with that characteristic struck match note that’s so appealing in Sylvain’s wines.
