Domaine Gavignet are a new producer to us. They produce mainly red wines from vineyards in Nuits-Saint-Georges, however their whites (less than 3% of this region’s production) proved very impressive this year as well, with a style that feels distinct to the Côte de Nuits.

This Chardonnay has a very pure style. The palate is soft and rounded – generous with stone fruit notes, a creamy finish and a building richness keep you coming back to the glass. This was the most classically styled of the ‘Bourgogne’ wines that we tried this year.
