Adrien Defaix’s wines were a great discovery for us last year and he was top of our list for 2023.  

Defaix are the biggest landowners of the excellent Côte de Lechet, with some 9 hectares. This wine comprises 2 plots totalling 8 hectares on Kimmeridgian limestone/marl covered by fossil-rich, pebbly, calcareous topsoil. It is vinified in 75% stainless steel tanks and 25% used oak barrels. 

Aromatically, the wine is very distinctive, with succulent, yet bright white fruits, lemon zest and chamomile.
