The “En Champs” vineyard sits just beneath the Premier Cru vineyards of Gevrey Chambertin and it’s clear that this wine received no shortage of sun this year, with a heady black fruit perfume wafting straight out of the glass. The wine is solidly built, with big tannins and a structure that will inevitably unfurl as the wine ages.
